About Us
We are more than anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists. We are family.
Our History
In the late 1970's and early 1980's, a small group of solo-practice anesthesiologists came together to provide anesthesia services at St Edward Hospital in Fort Smith (now Mercy Hospital, Fort Smith). By 1989 ,this group saw the need to join together officially and Western Arkansas Anesthesiology Associate, P.A. (W.A.A.A) was incorporated and became the foundation for the group that exists today.
For over 30 years now, W.A.A.A has provided anesthesia care at Mercy Hospital to the patients of Western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma. As an independent group of board certified anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists , W.A.A.A. is proud to serve the area where we live with excellence and compassion in anesthesia care.
Over the past several years, the group has expanded to also form Western Arkansas Obstetric Anesthesia and Staffing LLC as the practice has grown. W.A.A.A. operates under an Anesthesia Care Team model based on dedicated teamwork and customer service that strives to provide the best in anesthesia care.
